Studio Information

  • We teach Acting, Brass (french horn, trombone, trumpet), Drums, Guitar (Acoustic, Bass, Classical, Electric), Piano, Ukulele, Strings (Violin, Viola, cello, and mandoline), Visual Arts, Voice, and Woodwinds (clarinet, saxophone).

    • Weekly Recurring Lessons are the most cost-effective option, secure your day and time each week, receive priority for scheduling, and are paid for at the first of each month. Students taking weekly recurring lessons are considered “tuition students”, and their lessons follow the rates of $40.00 for 30-minute lessons, and $80 for 60-minute lessons. If a lesson is missed these students receive a LessonMate video -a personalized digital lesson with instruction, materials, and assignments—to keep them on track. Tuition students can also participate in the Musical Ladder System™ and in our Spring and Fall recitals.

      • Sibling Monthly Discount: when the sibling of a currently enrolled student enrolls for lessons, they will receive a $5/month discount for their 30-minute tuition and $10/month discount for their 60-minute tuition.

    • Single Lessons are paid for individually at the time of scheduling, and follow the rates of $45 for 30-minute lessons, and $90 for 60-minute lessons. These students follow our 48-hour notice policy for missing lessons, and can receive a video from their instructor when they miss a lesson.

  • You can use the link above to log into LessonMate!

A student receives a LessonMate any time they miss a lesson - even if they no show. These are to be done either before or during the scheduled time of the lesson. Often times you can see that a student has already requested a LM before their lesson time, which means you are welcome to check that off your list and send it to them. Sometimes you don't know they are going to be due a LM until it's time for their lesson. In that scenario you should send the LM during the lesson time that you are getting paid for. If a student is a no-show, they are due a LessonMate. A LessonMate is our way of providing instruction to students when life happens, they forget about their lesson, or any other circumstance. In return, all teachers get paid for the lesson, even when the LM only took about 5 minutes to complete. his takes everyone being consistent and dependable on our systems, not just a few. With your help, we will continue to be the #1 choice for music lessons in Central Mississippi, and even more so with us moving into Gluckstadt. 601 Studios, Music & Arts Academy is the first and only music school in Mississippi that gives their students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets and trophies (only recital participants) for passing musical goals with the Musical Ladder System®. This patented system is a unique way in which we encourage students to progress and practice in their instrument and/or craft, and helps them set goals and celebrate their achievements! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jFoIoQRG9vXIBBsEIP6xoVt1uafqNBlp/view?usp=drive_link

Practice Trackers - Next party is s’mores on September 5th!

Our practice trackers are a fun and interactive way to track student progress! For every lesson attended and each practice session completed at home, students get to color in an icon on their log. As they fill up their charts, they earn different rewards every 3 months. Don’t forget to fill these out at the end or beginning of every lesson!

Recitals - Next Recital is in September

We hold local recitals twice a year. All students should be encouraged to perform in recitals by their instructor, and lessons should be spent partly in preparation for recitals. Recitals are an excellent retention tool, and they give students the opportunity to gain performance experience. As a reminder a student must be enrolled for at least 3 months to perform.
